Saab’s 9-4X crossover makes digital debut

Saab has revealed images of the 9-4X crossover ahead of its official debut at next month’s Los Angeles Motor Show.
Like the 9-5 sedan the 9-4X crossover represents Saab’s new wave and is a crucial model for the company’s resurrection posts its acquisition by Spyker Cars.
Based on the Cadillac SRX platform the 9-4X is made to look like Saab’s Aero X concept.

The crossover will be powered by a choice of two petrol engines; a turbocharged 2.8-litre V6 producing 300bhp and a 3.0-litre 265bhp V6 base engine.

Both engines will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The base engine will be available with either front or all-wheel drive but the turbocharged version will come with all-wheel drive as standard.
The Saab 9-4X is expected to debut in the Middle East in the second half of 2011
