Qatar announces motor show details

While all eyes were on Paris, Qatar used the occasion to announce details of its first motor show to the world.

The Qatar Motor Show will take place at the Doha Exhibition Centre from January 26 to 29, 2011. Organisers are promising a high-profile event highlighting the Middle East’s potential for growth in the global car market.

Some of the latest models of premium cars will be on show, with an area dedicated to Italian concept cars, prototypes and supercars from the likes of Autostudi, Bertoni, Pininfarina and more.

Visitors will be able to see, touch and try many of the cars on show, with test drives and demonstration areas for off-roading, freestyle and drift exhibitions.

In addition, January 26 will see the Middle East Automotive Convention, with high-profile industry speakers providing matters for debate regarding the future of the automotive world and visions of “sustainable, intelligent and secure mobility”.
