Cadillac unveils hatchback concept at LA Motor Show

GM’s luxury car brand Cadillac has revealed a new city car concept dubbed Urban Luxury Concept at the 2010 LA Motor Show.

Not known for making small cars this concept is Cadillac’s take on giving urban buyers a compact luxury car. The two-door hatchback can seat four adults and features the bold Cadillac grille upfront, scissor doors and an upright stance.
It is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged three cylinder engine with electric assist technology (hybrid) which is mated to a dual-clutch transmission. Other environment friendly features include engine start-stop function and brake energy regeneration.
At the moment the Urban Luxury Concept is just a design exercise and Cadillac has not revealed any production plans.
