Nissan’s Leaf sales grow past Chevy’s Volt in April

If total sales are the only measuring stick, then Chevy’s Volt is the clear winner in the U.S., having logged nearly double the sales volume of the Leaf with 2,029 cars sold since launch. But with April sales numbers now out, it appears that the Leaf is mounting a possible comeback after posting 573 unit sales to Volt’s 493.

Could it just be a single month anomaly, of course, but it could also be the start of a swing in sales that favor “the first mass produced electric car.”
