Vehicle Highlights
The 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan lineup undergoes yet another reorganization. This 4-door wagon seats 5 and is powered by a 200-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. S and SEL trim levels return.
While the Wolfsburg replaced the SE during the 2010 model year, the SE returns for 2011. All models are available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive; the latter is newly available on the S. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on the front-drive S. Optional on that model and standard on all others is a 6-speed automatic. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. Rear-side airbags are no longer offered. A wireless cell-phone link and cooled glovebox are standard on all. The SE and SEL are available with a sunroof and navigation system. Versions so equipped are priced as separate models. Navigation-equipped SELs have a hard drive for storing digital-music files. Heated front seats are standard on the SE and SEL. Leather upholstery and dual-zone automatic climate control are SEL-exclusive standard features.

Pricing Key: Retail prices listed with each report are set by the vehicle's manufacturer. These figures appear on each car's federally mandated window sticker. Most price lists also include dealer-invoice prices. Dealer-invoice prices are what the dealer pays the manufacturer for the car and its factory-installed options. The destination charge is not included in the suggested-retail or dealer-invoice price and must be added to the cost of the vehicle. Car companies change prices frequently throughout the year. If the prices published do not match those on the vehicle's window sticker, the manufacturer has probably altered the price recently.
